Sensys System Manager

The Sensys System Manager allows you to monitor, diagnose, manage remotely and perform data analysis all in one appliance–a ‘plug and play’ network appliance to manage all of your Sensys Networks installations.

Providing advanced remote management and administration capabilities for up to 100 detector networks, the Sensys System Manager comes pre-loaded with our SNAPS Professional software and is ready to install as a rack mounted server. Connectivity to the network installation is provided by existing IP based infrastructure and occurs over industry standard protocols. Security and access rights are all configurable and can be set to meet the requirements of any organization or permission scheme.

System Manager also allows system administrators to remotely contact Sensys Access Points to configure Sensys devices, update firmware on Access Points, Repeaters, and Sensors. Providing system backups, restores, and license management, Traffic Engineers can now use the System Manager to set alarms to alert them to the health and performance of their entire intersection network.

The System Manager can automate and centralize the traffic data acquisition process on a flexible schedule. It archives all of your detection data for up to 90 days before it is aged off the System. For users requiring data and statistics beyond 90 days, our enterprise class solution, SNAPS Professional is recommended. Multiple users can be granted easy access to the centralized statistics and data for a wide array of analytical studies and representations – all without impacting the detection networks in the field.

Key Features and Benefits

Remote Management and Maintenance

Sensys System Manager eliminates the need to go into the field to visit intersections. All management and maintenance activities can be handled from this pre-loaded network appliance which provides remote support as well as:

Device level configuration and management—Manage Access Points thru a unique IP address assigned during installation. Create groups of Access Points to manage and edit all device level configurations the same way they are accessed in the field.

Remote firmware updates—Update the firmware for all Sensys Networks devices and installations from one location.

Backup and restore management—Keep critical device files and configuration backups in one safe and central location.

License and process management—Start and stop local Access Point processes and update licenses remotely.

Diagnostic & Health Monitoring

Sensys System Manager provides a real-time snapshot of the health and performance of all the Sensys installations from your desk top.

Graphical and color coded health network map—Accurately depict all Sensys Networks installations on an easy to use map. Sensys Access Points are displayed with a health-state icon that graphically depicts overall health.

Radio communication effectiveness—Measures of wireless radio communications effectiveness – RSSI (Signal Strength) and LQI (Link Quality Indicator) status in real-time.

Battery level—Monitor the effective battery outputs for both Sensors and Repeaters.

Automatic alarm notification—Set thresholds for automatic alarm notification via email, RSS feeds or text messaging.

Traffic Data Acquisition, Archiving, & Analysis

System Manager eases the burden of collecting and handling the volumes of vehicle detection data captured by all of the Sensys networks.

Automatic data collection and archiving—Automates the process of collecting detection data from all managed networks on a preset schedule.

Traffic Data analysis—Useful vehicle event data are available in ‘per vehicle’ or ‘per lane’ output modes.

Simple to use browser and reporting—Typical predefined report templates used to perform traffic data analysis can be generated, saved and viewed in the following formats: HTML, Excel, Text or PNG.
